San Luis Obispo Museum of Art

The San Luis Obispo Museum of Art brings together people of all ages, identities, and abilities to experience art, situated on the corner of Broad Street and Monterey Street in Mission Plaza, next to San Luis Obispo Creek. This nonprofit organization is in the heart of Downtown San Luis Obispo.

Private group tours can be arranged on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with advance reservations, allowing groups to explore the museum's current, coming, and past exhibitions, as well as its permanent collection.

Several events are hosted by the museum, including First Fridays with extended hours and music, and Second Saturdays with free art-making events for kids and families. A digital guide is also available on the Bloomberg Connects app, providing exclusive multimedia perspectives from artists, curators, and more.

The museum is accessible through the entrance on the Mission Plaza side, with parking available in nearby public lots or on surface streets. This makes it easy for people to visit and enjoy the museum's exhibitions.

The museum makes art accessible to everyone with free admission for all visitors, thanks to the generosity of its members and donors, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. More information about the museum, its events, and its exhibitions can be found on its website or by signing up for its email list.
