Corazon Cafe SLO

Corazon Cafe SLO has become a staple in Downtown San Luis Obispo, serving as a gathering place where people come to enjoy food and drinks, and where the community can come together.

The people behind the cafe are Pedro, Chencho, and Sara, each with their own distinct background: Pedro was born in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, and moved to the area in 2007, while Chencho was born in rural Guerrero and moved to California at age 17, and Sara grew up on the Central Coast and studied art education in New York City.

Tostadas, chile relleno, and chilaquiles are among the items served at the cafe, which also includes lattes and chocolates mexicanos, as well as pozole and pan dulce, with the menu influenced by the food from Chiapas and Guerrero, where Pedro and Chencho are from.

Community involvement is a key aspect of the cafe, which has collaborated with several organizations, including Mujeres de Accion and the Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center, and also has a 2% Tuesday donation program, which has benefitted several local organizations.
